Can I use industrial zoning for a warehouse in Smyrna?

Yes. Warehousing, goods transport and storage are permitted by right in the I-1, I-2, and I-3 industrial districts, and the A-1 Airport District carries the I-3 use list. Yards differ sharply by district: I-1 needs 30/20/25 ft front/side/rear, I-2 needs 60/30/30 ft, and I-3 needs 100/50/50 ft, with 60, 50, and 50 percent coverage caps respectively. Outdoor storage is separately limited by Section 3.190 (allowed in C-2, C-3, I-2, and I-3 behind the principal structure), and truck-intensive or salvage operations can trigger special exception review, so confirm the exact activity classification with Planning staff.
