Do I need special approval for my use?

Check how the district's use table marks your use. P means Principal Permitted, U means it needs a Use Permit (decided the same way as a rezoning, Sec. 1-3-1, Sec. 1-3-2), C means it is conditionally permitted if the listed conditions are met, and AC means it is an accessory use permitted under conditions. Some uses (churches, wireless facilities, day care, public and charter schools, energy generation) can be considered as a Special Use in any district under Sec. 4-1-2; others (large retail users, adult live entertainment, bus terminals, certain restaurants and breweries) are Special Uses considered only in specified districts under Sec. 4-1-3. A Special Use Permit follows the same City Council process as a zoning amendment (Sec. 1-3-4, Sec. 1-3-1). Confirm the zoning district on the city's zoning map or by calling Development Services at 623-932-3004.
