Which zoning ordinance actually applies in Prosper right now?
The Town of Prosper adopted a new Unified Development Code (UDC) on May 1, 2026, which is the current source for this pack. It replaced the older Zoning Ordinance that had been hosted on Municode, codified through Ordinance No. 2024-14 and current as of Supplement No. 3 (May 20, 2024); that older Municode publication was not reachable during this review (the platform returned an unauthorized or not-found response for the zoning ordinance and code of ordinances nodes), consistent with the Town having moved off Municode after the UDC's adoption. The Town's own Codes and Ordinances page now points to eCode360 rather than Municode. Prosper is a Town, not a City, and this pack covers only the incorporated Town limits; the ETJ and unincorporated Collin or Denton County land have no municipal zoning. Start by confirming the zoning district on the Town's MapLink zoning map (pr6834.zoninghub.com/zoningmap.aspx) or with the Planning Division at 972-346-3502.
