Do I need special approval for my use in Forney?

Check how the Sec. 37.2 Use Chart marks your specific use in your district. "P" means permitted by right. "C" means a Conditional Use Provision (CUP) is required under Sec. 34b before any building permit can issue; the CUP application needs a concept plan or detailed site plan showing how the use meets the Sec. 34b.5 approval standards. A blank cell means the use is prohibited in that district without a rezoning. Planned Development (PD) parcels follow their individual adopting ordinance instead of, or on top of, the base district rules (Sec. 34a). Confirm with Planning and Development at 972-552-6658. This pack covers incorporated Forney only; the ETJ and unincorporated Kaufman County have no municipal zoning.
