Accessory dwelling units in Round Rock, TX

What the Round Rock zoning ordinance says about accessory dwelling units, district by district. Section numbers link to the official ordinance.

All districts

Round Rock does not broadly allow accessory dwelling units in single-family districts. In the residential use table, only SF-3 permits a connected accessory dwelling unit (Sec. 2-25). ADUs are permitted with supplementary standards in C-2 and OF-1 (one per platted lot, occupied by the owner or manager of the principal use, Sec. 2-91(a)(1)) and in MU-L (limited to 625 square feet above a garage, Sec. 2-91(a)(2)), and permitted in MU-2 and MU-R (Sec. 2-77). Confirm the current zoning map, any overlay district, PUD or development agreement conditions, and the cited section text before acting.
