Sec. 53-5 defines a home occupation as a commercial use carried on in the home by members of the occupant family without structural alterations, without machinery beyond normal household equipment, without additional employees, and without abnormal noise or traffic. It must be conducted entirely within the dwelling, the residential character and exterior must be maintained with no added buildings, no external nuisance may leave the property, and no vehicle requiring a commercial drivers license may park on an adjacent street.
