Sec. 53-33(r): accessory structures are allowed only with a lawfully established principal use, only in rear yards unless otherwise provided, set back from every lot line at least half the structure height (including eaves), separated from any primary structure by at least ten feet, and in residential districts no taller than the primary structure or 20 feet, whichever is lower, with aggregate floor area of all accessory structures capped at half the principal structure. Detached solar panels count as accessory structures. No accessory building may go up before the principal building.
