Who handles zoning variances in Southfield?

The Zoning Board of Appeals handles administrative review and variances under Section 5.198. It cannot change a zoning classification or allow a use that the ordinance does not otherwise permit, except where the ordinance itself provides that power. If the request is really a rezoning or text amendment, the amendment procedure is separate.
