How much parking is required?
Parking minimums are set per use in the Use Chart's parking column (Sec. 2.06.05): 2 spaces per single family dwelling or duplex unit, 1 per unit for accessory dwellings, studio apartments at 1 per unit and larger multiplex units at 2 per unit, 1 per 300 square feet of retail, 1 per 400 of office or personal services, 1 per 200 of restaurant, 1.1 per hotel guest room, and warehouse or industrial space generally at 1 per 1,000 square feet plus office parking. Spaces must be at least 9 by 18 feet, drive-thru uses add stacking spaces per Table 15, bicycle parking follows Table 16, and electric vehicle spaces phase in at 50 or more required spaces (Sec. 2.09.03). Shared parking can reduce the total up to 20 percent and Alternative Compliance up to 30 percent. Downtown Node commercial uses are exempt from off-street parking under the Form Based Code.
