Do I need special approval for my use?

Check how the Schedule of Uses in UDC 2.07.C marks your use in your district. An S means the use needs a Specific Use Permit (SUP) approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission and Town Council, with a scaled site plan showing parking, building size and materials, ingress and egress, screening, and the relationship to surrounding land uses within 200 feet (UDC 2.06.B). A number means the use is allowed subject to numbered conditional development standards in UDC 2.07.D (for example the guest house and home-based business standards). A blank cell means the use is not allowed in that district without a rezoning. Start by confirming the zoning district on the Town's MapLink zoning map (pr6834.zoninghub.com/zoningmap.aspx) or with the Planning Division at 972-346-3502. This pack covers incorporated Prosper only; the ETJ and unincorporated Collin or Denton County land have no municipal zoning.
