Do I need special approval for my use?
Check the UDC 10.304 use table for your district: P is by right, C is by right subject to stated conditions, and S requires a specific use permit reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council under UDC 10.203.21. Examples of S uses include manufactured home parks in MH, assisted living and live-work in MF, and ADUs in SF-R and SF-1. Specific use permits are evaluated for plan conformance and compatibility, may carry conditions, do not run with the land, and expire when the use ends. Site plan review, certificates of appropriateness in the H overlay, and Gateway overlay compliance can also apply. The Development Services Department can confirm which approvals your project needs.
