Can I run a home business here?
Yes, within the home occupation limits of Sec. 2-93(b). The business must stay entirely inside the dwelling or attached garage, only residents may work on site, and merchandise sales on the premises are prohibited apart from narrow exceptions (one garage sale every six months, custom items made by the occupant). Customer traffic is capped at 24 one-way trips a day and two customers at a time (six children for day care). No outside storage or display, and the street address may not be advertised. Start by confirming the zoning district on the city's interactive map (maps.roundrocktexas.gov/cityview) or with Planning and Development Services at 512-218-5428. This pack covers incorporated Round Rock only; ETJ and unincorporated county land have no municipal zoning.
