Can I run a home business in Buckeye?

Yes, as a home occupation accessory to your dwelling, in any residential or mixed-use zoning district (Sec. 3.3.4.C). The business has to stay inside the dwelling or a permitted accessory building and cannot exceed 20 percent of combined floor area or 500 square feet, whichever is less. You must live on the premises, and you can employ at most one person who does not live there. No more than two vehicles connected to the business, no more than two dedicated off-street parking spaces beyond what the house itself needs, and no more than one caller at a time or two visitors per hour. No outdoor display or storage, no wholesale or retail sales on-site, and the street address cannot be advertised. Several uses are flatly prohibited as home occupations regardless of scale, including auto repair, vehicle painting, towing, welding, dental and medical offices, private schools, and multi-chair barber or beauty shops.
