Can I run a home business here?

Yes, as a home-based business, but it is a conditional use in every district that allows it, not a use permitted by right, so it goes through the conditional use review process rather than being automatically approved (Table 4.1.6; Sec. 5.11.10). No more than 2 employees or independent contractors who do not live at the home may work on site (remote employees elsewhere are unlimited). Vehicles must park in the driveway or legal parking areas, not in the right-of-way, on sidewalks, or on unimproved ground, and heavy commercial/industrial/agricultural equipment cannot be parked at the residence. The property must look like a normal home from the street, with no retail transactions happening anywhere but the residence itself, and signage must follow Article 7. The business cannot generate noise, vibration, heat, smoke, dust, glare, fumes, or noxious odors, and must follow hazardous-materials rules. Confirm the conditional use application process and any City business tax receipt requirement with the City Planning Division before starting.
