All districts

In a residential district, or along the boundary between a residential and nonresidential district, a fence or wall behind the required front yard line cannot exceed 8 feet in height (UDC 2.11.B.6.a). A fence or wall within the required front yard of a single family lot is capped at 4 feet, except a single family lot of 1 acre or more may have a front yard fence up to 8 feet if built of wrought iron or decorative tubular steel (UDC 2.11.B.6.b to c). No fence or plant taller than 2.5 feet is allowed within the sight visibility triangle where an alley meets a street (UDC 2.11.B.5). Screening walls between nonresidential/multifamily uses and adjacent residential-designated property must be at least 8 feet of solid masonry (UDC 2.11.B.1).
