Home occupation is a permitted use (X) in every residential district in the Sec. 82-27 use chart (A, SF-E, SF-SE, SF-1, SF-2, TF, SF-Z, SF-TH, MF-1, MF-2, MH-1, MH-2), subject to the customary home occupation conditions in Sec. 82-28: only family members residing in the home may work in the business, the space used cannot exceed 25 percent of the dwelling's floor area, at most one non-illuminated sign of 1 square foot or less is allowed, the home must keep its residential character with no exterior commercial appeal, no exterior storage of materials or equipment, no offensive noise/vibration/smoke/dust/odor/heat/glare beyond the property line, the business must be conducted wholly inside the dwelling with no accessory building used, no stock or merchandise sold or kept on site, only ordinary household-type equipment, and no traffic hazard or disturbance to neighbors.
