All districts

A temporary storage building up to 120 square feet and 15 feet tall does not need a permit if it keeps 10 feet from the main structure and has no permanent power (Sec. 82-32(a)); the same is true for temporary structures 200 square feet or less, 15 feet tall or less, and under 500 pounds (Sec. 82-32(e)). Permitted accessory buildings in residential/multifamily districts: side yard at least 8 feet from any lot/alley/easement line (20 feet if adjacent to a side street), rear yard at least 10 feet from any lot/alley/easement line, and detached accessory buildings must respect the district's maximum lot coverage and cannot exceed the main structure's height. Overseas shipping containers/sea boxes are never permitted as accessory buildings or structures (Sec. 82-32(c)).
