What the Pilot Point zoning ordinance says about home occupations, district by district. Section numbers link to the official ordinance.

All districts

Home occupations are governed by Sec. 14.02.108. The saved current text permits compatible home occupations as accessory uses in residential districts, limited to members of the immediate family occupying the dwelling, conducted only within the enclosed dwelling or garage, and using no more than 25% of one story of the principal building. The section also bars exterior character changes, visible outdoor storage or display, nuisance effects, traffic or parking increases above two additional vehicles at a time, and utility use beyond neighborhood averages; it allows one nonilluminated sign up to 4 square feet and lists prohibited examples such as auto repairs, vehicle or boat painting, private schools, and television repair. The Board of Adjustment interprets whether a use qualifies.
