UDC Sec. 4.6.4 sets citywide home occupation standards (matching the placeholder's Sec. 4.6.x citation). Business operations must be conducted entirely within the dwelling unit (minor fabrication or incidental storage may occur in an accessory building), employ only immediate family members residing in the dwelling, have no separate exterior entrance, generate no more than three customer vehicle trips per 24-hour day, store or display no equipment visible off the premises, and carry no on-site or off-site signage or advertising of the home address. In-home day cares are capped at six unrelated children and are separately regulated by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. A bed and breakfast operated as a home occupation is limited to two overnight guests per guest bedroom, must be the proprietor's permanent residence, is capped at four total guest bedrooms (excluding one bedroom reserved for the owner), and cannot have in-room cooking facilities. Barber/beauty/personal-service shops, animal hospitals/stables/kennels, dance studios or schools, mortuaries, and private clubs are expressly prohibited as home occupations. Confirm the current Sec. 4.6.4 text with the Planning Department before acting.
