All districts

A home occupation must be conducted entirely within the main building with no exterior alteration, no separate entrance, no exterior storage, at most two patron or business vehicles at a time (plus at most one commercial vehicle of one ton or less, not parked on the street), no advertising signage, no on-premises merchandise sales apart from narrow exceptions, no more than two non-resident employees, and no ready inventory for sale. Hours for accepting clients run 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for outdoor activities), and outdoor activity is prohibited unless screened from view. Listed permitted examples include offices of licensed professionals, artists and authors, dressmakers, tutoring capped at 3 pupils, small appliance repair, and licensed child-care homes; prohibited examples include animal hospitals or kennels, vehicle or equipment repair, on-premises retail sale, and medical or dental offices (Sec. 20.3(e)(8), (9)).
