All districts

Art. IV, sec. 8 sets citywide home occupation standards. The occupation must be conducted entirely within a completely enclosed structure with no exterior evidence, no structural alteration or added structures to accommodate it, and no outside storage; only one business-marked vehicle of up to 3/4-ton rated capacity may park on the property or adjacent street (no commercial-driver's-license vehicle may park there at all). No exterior signage, display, or advertising is allowed, and no more than one employee outside the resident family. The use is capped at 25 percent of the dwelling's gross floor area and generates no more than 3 customer vehicle trips per 24-hour day. Certain uses are expressly barred from qualifying as home occupations, including animal breeding/hospitals/kennels, veterinary offices, barbershops, beauty parlors, contractor's yards, dance schools, junkyards, lodging houses, bed and breakfasts, massage parlors, restaurants, rental outlets, and vehicle repair shops. Confirm the district, site component, and current art. IV, sec. 8 text with the Leander Planning Department before acting.
