B-1 — Commercial: Local/Neighborhood

In B-1, freestanding signs are monument style: 32 sq. ft. and 6 ft. tall for single-use sites (up to 2 on qualifying corner lots), 48 sq. ft. and 8 ft. for multi-tenant centers under 100,000 sq. ft. GFA, set back 5 ft. from property lines and 100 ft. from other freestanding signs on the site. Attached signage is capped at 1.0 sq. ft. per linear foot of front facade and 0.5 sq. ft. per foot on side and rear walls (UDC 10.410.3.4). Sign permits are required (UDC 10.410.10); confirm the current table before ordering signage.

B-2 — Commercial: General

In B-2, monument signs run 32 sq. ft. and 6 ft. for single-use sites, 48 sq. ft. and 8 ft. for multi-tenant centers under 100,000 sq. ft. GFA, and 64 sq. ft. and 12 ft. for centers of 100,000 sq. ft. GFA or more, set back 5 ft. from property lines and 100 ft. apart. Attached signage is capped at 1.0 sq. ft. per linear foot of front facade and 0.5 sq. ft. per foot on side and rear walls (UDC 10.410.3.4). Pole signs are not among the permitted permanent types. OT — Old Town

Signs in the OT and FBC districts follow the separate FBC and OT district sign standards in UDC 10.410.4, not the conventional district tables. Sign permits are required (UDC 10.410.10). Confirm the applicable transect standards before ordering signage.

All districts

Sign standards are organized by use and district group: agricultural (UDC 10.410.3.1), residential (10.410.3.2), institutional (10.410.3.3), and commercial, retail, and industrial (10.410.3.4), with separate FBC and OT standards (10.410.4). Residential lots are limited to temporary signs such as a 4 sq. ft. sale or construction sign, and development entrances may carry 32 sq. ft. identification signs. Prohibited and exempt sign types are in 10.410.5 and 10.410.6, and sign permits are required under 10.410.10. Home occupation signage is prohibited (UDC 10.311.6.3.6).
