What the Frisco zoning ordinance says about signs, district by district. Section numbers link to the official ordinance.

All districts

Sign regulation is in a separate chapter of the Frisco Code of Ordinances, Chapter 70 (Signs), not in the Chapter 63 Zoning Ordinance. A sign permit from the building official is required for any sign except those exempted under Sec. 70-17. In residential zoning districts, a Monument (Residential) Sign requires a permit and may be placed on private property only at subdivision entrances; it may not be issued before a building permit or certificate of occupancy for the subdivision. Model homes may display one monument sign of no more than 32 square feet and 4 feet in height while a valid model home permit is active. Chapter 70 was most recently updated per the City of Frisco Sign Ordinance document available on the city website. Full permitted sign types, size, and height limits by district are review-gated; confirm Chapter 70 directly.
