Accessory buildings must sit toward the rear of the lot and are prohibited in front of the main building; a nonresidential or multi-family accessory building cannot exist without a main building or use in place. Minimum side yard 3 feet (25 feet if entered from the side facing a street), minimum rear yard 3 feet (more in some configurations, see Sec. 40.5.A.3). Accessory structures (not detached garages) in single-family, two-family, or SFA districts are capped at 225 square feet and 12 feet in height unless they meet full exterior construction standards (Sec. 42.2).
