No City approval or permit is required for a home occupation, but it must meet conditions: no signage visible from outside the dwelling; no more than 2 non-relative employees on site; outdoor activity only if screened and between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.; no exterior storage of materials or equipment; no fleet vehicle operation (3 or more business vehicles); no offensive noise, smoke, dust, odor, heat, or glare beyond the property line; no major exterior alterations that change the residential character; no vehicle or large equipment repair; and no on-premises sale of merchandise except homegrown produce or items ordered in advance (Sec. 14.03.401(f)(1)-(11)).
