Variances go to the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Use variances are prohibited; the board may grant dimensional relief only after written findings on all hardship criteria, including special conditions unique to the property and a hardship that is not self-induced or purely financial (Sec. 11.06.122(D)). Requests must be filed in writing at least 30 calendar days before the meeting, and the board holds a public hearing with mailed notice to owners within 200 feet at least 10 days ahead (Sec. 11.06.122(E)). Appeals of administrative decisions also go to the board (Sec. 11.06.121).
