Home occupations are a permitted accessory use in AG, every single-family district (SF-20.0 through SF-6.0), MD, and the Downtown Neighborhood (ND) zone. Only family members residing in the dwelling may work in the business; the space used may never exceed 25 percent of the dwelling's total floor area; no more than one non-illuminated sign of 1 square foot or less may advertise the home occupation; the dwelling's residential character and appearance may not be altered; no exterior storage of materials or equipment is allowed; no offensive noise, vibration, smoke, dust, odor, heat, or glare may extend past the property line; the occupation must be conducted wholly within the dwelling with no accessory building used; and it may not generate traffic that creates a hazard or disturbance to neighbors.
