CD-4 — General Urban Character District

Parking is calculated by principal use under Table 4.3.12.B-1: single-family detached 2 spaces per dwelling unit plus 1 per rented room; attached dwellings 1.5 per unit outside PUD districts; the residential portion of live/work or mixed-use buildings 1.5 per unit. On-street spaces adjacent to the frontage can count toward the requirement per Section 4.3.12.B.2, and fractional spaces round down. Driveway width in the first layer is limited by the district table.

CD-5 — Urban Center Character District

CD-5 has significant parking relief: for existing buildings, a change from one non-residential use to another requires no additional parking; a one-time expansion of 10 percent or less (up to 1,000 sq ft) is exempt; and for new construction the Zoning Administrator may count public and on-street spaces within 1,320 feet. Base ratios come from Table 4.3.12.B-1. The same exemptions apply in the Columbia Arts District Overlay and the Columbia West End Historic District.

SD-INT — Interstate Service Special District
