What is my minimum lot size?
Minimum lot area comes from the table area row, not width times depth. The residential table lists areas such as 65,340 sq ft for SFE-1.5, 87,120 sq ft for SFE-2.0, 174,240 sq ft for SFE-4.0, 8,400 sq ft for SF-1 and SF-8.4, 16,000 sq ft for SF-16, 10,000 sq ft for SF-10, 7,000 sq ft for SF-7 and 2F, 5,000 sq ft for ZL-5, and 43,560 sq ft for AG with a 10-acre note for single-family dwellings. This pack covers incorporated Rockwall city limits only. The UDC states zoning applies within the corporate limits and lands subject to zoning jurisdiction as conferred by state law, but Texas cities may not zone ETJ land under current Texas law and Texas counties do not provide general zoning. ETJ and unincorporated Rockwall County parcels are out of scope for this draft.
