Wylie's Appendix B (Zoning) divides the city into residential districts (AG/30, SF-ED, SF-20/26, SF-10/24, TH, MF, MH), commercial districts (NS, CR, CC, BG), industrial districts (LI, HI), and special or overlay districts (PD, FP, DTH, SBO). The allowed uses for each district are set by the Land Use Charts in Sec. 5.1. Start by confirming the zoning classification for the parcel on the city zoning map or with Planning and Zoning, then check that district's column in the Sec. 5.1 use chart before you plan a project.
