What are my setback requirements in Queen Creek?
Setbacks are set by district in Table 4.7-3 of the Zoning Ordinance. As examples, R1-9 requires a front setback of 20 feet to the front of the garage, a 5 foot side setback (with a 15 foot minimum building spacing rule between adjoining R1-9 or R1-7 lots), and a 25 foot rear setback; R1-43 requires 20 feet to the garage front, 5 feet side, and 25 feet rear. Many footnotes modify these figures for porches, side-entry garages, and z-lot or attached configurations. If the property is in a Planned Area Development, the PAD document's setbacks control over the base district figures where they differ (Sec. 4.11). Confirm the district and any PAD conditions with Development Services (480-358-3092) before building.
