How tall can I build?

Residential height limits are 40 feet in DR, ES, and SR, 35 feet in SU and UR, and 48 feet for garden apartments in MF (Tables 11.03.061A and 11.03.061B). Nonresidential limits range from 30 feet in NB and 45 feet in LB up to 60 feet in HC, LI, and HI and 100 feet in GB, PO, H, PS, and MU (Table 11.03.091). Two neighbor-protection rules matter: within 100 feet of a single-family district property line no part of a building may exceed 35 feet in most nonresidential districts (150 feet for MU), and MF buildings are capped at one story within 100 feet of one. Church spires, chimneys, and similar appurtenances may exceed the limit by up to 20 feet (Sec. 11.03.121). Town Center and PD properties follow their own standards.
