Do I need special approval for my use?

Check how the Subsection 3.02 Use Chart marks your specific use in your district. Uses marked as requiring a Specific Use Permit (SUP, sometimes shown as "S") need City Council and Planning & Zoning Commission approval through the Subsection 6.15 SUP application and review process, which requires a finding that the use will not be detrimental to adjacent properties or the city as a whole. The city's zoning GIS layer records a live SUP field per parcel; a non-null value (something other than SUP000) means a specific use permit is already recorded there and must be read on top of the base district rules. A use marked as prohibited in the chart generally needs a rezoning, not just an SUP. The complete use-by-use chart was not retrieved this session and is review-gated. Confirm the current chart and any recorded SUP or PD condition with Frisco Planning and Zoning at 972-292-5301. This pack covers incorporated Frisco only.
