Do I need special approval for my use?
Check how Table 19: Use Table (Sec. 9.04.028) marks your use in your district. A P means the use is permitted by right, subject to any cross-referenced use-specific standards in Secs. 9.04.029 through 9.04.037. An S means the use needs a Specific Use Permit, approved by City Council after a Planning and Zoning Commission recommendation and public hearing (Division 5 procedures). A blank cell means the use is not authorized in that district. If a proposed use is not listed at all, the Director decides whether it is permitted based on similarity to listed uses (Sec. 9.04.027). Start by confirming your zoning district and proposed use with the Development Services Department at 972-924-2616. This pack covers incorporated Anna city limits only; ETJ and unincorporated Collin County land have no municipal zoning.
