Can I use this property for retail?
Retail sales, general is permitted by-right in B1, B2, B3, and PC, and allowed only as a percentage of gross floor area (marked "%" on the Use Table) in TF and LI (Sec. 4.2.2). It is generally not permitted in O&I or in residential districts outside MORR. B2 properties in ground-floor storefront locations along North Salem, East/West Chatham, Saunders, and Templeton Streets have additional restrictions on certain office and service uses under the Use Table's storefront note, and downtown parcels may also be subject to the separate Sec. 8.7.7 sign and design standards. Some retail subtypes (retail sales bulky goods, self-service storage, automotive uses) are limited to specific districts, mostly PC, TF, and LI.
