Customary incidental home occupations are allowed in every residential district if the home keeps its residential character: no exterior display or storage, at most a 4 sq ft announcement sign, no nuisance noise, odor, glare, or electrical disturbance, and no more traffic than the neighborhood normally sees. The ordinance excludes uses such as dance instruction, band instrument instruction (piano excepted), tea rooms, tourist homes, real estate offices, convalescent homes, mortuaries, animal clinics, and retail sales, and the Board of Zoning Appeals decides borderline cases. A bed and breakfast is a separate special exception with its own Section 7.061.15 conditions.
