All districts

Accessory structures may not be used for dwelling purposes except as an approved Accessory Dwelling Unit under Sec. 3.2.3. Accessory structures are permitted in side and rear yards only, not in the front yard, and must be no closer than 30 feet to a right-of-way. Setbacks and height for accessory structures otherwise follow the base district's setback and height standards (Sec. 2.2). Per the Town's homeowner permit guidance, accessory structures 12 feet by 12 feet or smaller need only a development permit, larger structures need a building permit, and size is capped at 600 square feet per structure on lots under 1 acre or 1,000 square feet aggregate on lots from 1 to 3 acres.
