MH-O — Manufactured Home Overlay District

A manufactured home in the MH-O overlay must be set up to North Carolina Department of Insurance standards; have a continuous, permanent masonry perimeter wall styled as a conventional load-bearing foundation, unpierced except for required ventilation/access (masonry walls and skirting are not required for a home on land leased to the home's owner, though non-masonry skirting is still required); have all wheels, transporting lights, and towing apparatus removed; be at least 14 feet wide along most of its length; have at least a 3:12 roof pitch; use exterior wall and roofing materials comparable in composition, appearance, and durability to conventional residential construction; and have permanent steps, a porch, or similar suitable entry at every entrance (Art. 3.3.1(a), as amended by TA22-13).
