All districts

Off-street parking is set by use under Off-Street Parking Schedule A (Table 8.3-1), not by zoning district, except the Central Business District has no minimum motor vehicle or bicycle parking requirement in existing platted areas that are or were in commercial use (Sec. 8.3.1.B). Single-family dwelling: 2 spaces per unit. Townhouse and townhouse detached: 2 spaces per unit plus 0.25 spaces per unit for guest parking. Multi-family or apartment: 1.5 spaces per unit with 1-2 bedrooms, 1.8 spaces per unit with 3+ bedrooms. Congregate care: 1 per dwelling unit. Assisted living: 0.5 per dwelling unit or bed. Expansions must bring total parking (existing plus expansion) to at least 75 percent of the current minimum ratio (Sec. 8.3.1.C); a change of use requiring more parking than the prior use must meet the new ratio (Sec. 8.3.1.D).
