Signs are Chapter 134 of the code, not the zoning chapter. At a single-family home, permanent monument and wall signs are not permitted (§ 134-5(1), § 134-6(1)).
- Temporary signs at a house: up to 2 freestanding signs of 6 square feet each, 7 feet tall at most, plus 2 wall signs of 2 square feet (§ 134-9, Table 134-9 A).
- Signs under 12 square feet need no permit, one per address (§ 134-4(1)a.5). Larger temporary signs need a permit: 30 days of display, four times a year.
- For-sale signs may stay up for the length of the listing. Lots over one acre may use a 12 square foot sign (§ 134-9).
- From 60 days before an election to 3 days after, total temporary freestanding sign area may reach 64 square feet (§ 134-9).
- Subdivision entrance monuments: 7 feet, 20 square feet, not internally illuminated (§ 134-5).
Sign variances go to the Sign Board of Appeals (§ 134-12).
