One- and two-family homes need 2 off-street spaces per dwelling unit (Section 5.2.12.A). Residential parking must be on the premises it serves; for other uses, parking must be on the same parcel or within 300 feet along a pedestrian route (Section 5.2.3; Section 5.2.4). Fractions over one-half round up (Section 5.2.10), and existing parking may not be reduced below the ordinance requirement (Section 5.2.6).
Commercial vehicles may not be parked on residentially zoned property except for loading or while performing work, with a narrow exception for one work vehicle up to 7,000 pounds empty weight that is a resident's principal transportation, excluding dump trucks, stake trucks, flatbeds, semi-tractors, and cube vans (Section 5.1.9).
Recreational equipment and trailers may park anywhere on a residential premises up to 72 consecutive hours for loading and trip preparation; longer storage must be in a side or rear yard if under 6 feet tall, or in the rear yard or a nonrequired side yard under the accessory building rules if taller (Section 5.1.1 through 5.1.3). Stored equipment must be owned or registered to the occupant, kept licensed and in good repair, never used for living quarters, and at most one motor home may be stored on a residential premises (Section 5.1.4 through 5.1.7).
