Signs in Queen Creek, AZ

What the Queen Creek zoning ordinance says about signs, district by district. Section numbers link to the official ordinance.

All districts

Address signs in residential districts are capped at 2 square feet and required on new construction before a certificate of occupancy (Sec. 7.2.A.2.a). Residential subdivision entry monument signs are capped at 20 feet in height and 32 square feet, with a Planning Administrator design exception process for larger monuments that add enhanced materials (Sec. 7.2.A.2.d). Commercial center building wall signage is capped at 1.5 square feet per lineal foot of building occupancy frontage on the front wall (half that on side and rear walls), and one freestanding identification sign per center is capped at 48 square feet and 8 feet in height (Sec. 7.2.A.4). The Downtown Core (DC) district follows the DC Design Guidelines and Chapter 7 of the Design Standards instead of these citywide standards where the two conflict (Sec. 7.2, Exceptions). A sign permit is required before installation except for specifically exempted sign types (Sec. 7.4).
