What the Goodyear zoning ordinance says about signs, district by district. Section numbers link to the official ordinance.

All districts

Sign standards depend on zoning category. In residential districts, a single-residence wall sign is capped at 3 square feet and 6 feet high; multi-residence and non-residential uses in residential districts get directory, monument, and wall sign allowances up to 32 square feet, generally 6 feet high (Sec. 7-8-A). Commercial district signs (CO, C-1, C-2, CBD, PFD) follow separate awning, canopy, directional, directory, drive-through menu board, and gasoline station standards, with a Comprehensive Sign Package required for developments of three or more businesses (Sec. 7-8-B). A sign permit is required under Art. 7; see Sec. 7-11 for prohibited sign types.
