All districts

In residential and agricultural districts, a front yard fence or wall is capped at 3 feet (open wire and chain link fences are not allowed in a front yard, with limited legacy exceptions for pre-1975 subdivisions); side and rear yard fences are capped at 6 feet (Sec. 5-2-2-A-3-a). No wall, building, or obstruction over 2 feet may sit in a corner-lot sight visibility triangle measured 33 feet from the right-of-way intersection (Sec. 5-2-1-A). A building permit is required for any fence over 6 feet. Masonry walls of at least 6 feet are required along interior boundaries adjacent to a residential district (Sec. 5-2-2-A-5), and mobile home subdivisions and parks must be bounded by a 6 foot masonry wall (Sec. 5-2-2-B-3-c).
