Signs in Buckeye, AZ

What the Buckeye zoning ordinance says about signs, district by district. Section numbers link to the official ordinance.

All districts

Sign standards apply to all signs within incorporated Buckeye and are administered in a content-neutral manner (Sec. 5.12.2, Sec. 5.12.1.C). Permanent building-mounted and freestanding sign standards are in Sec. 5.12.6 (Standards for Permanent Signs); temporary and portable sign standards are in the same subsection's temporary/portable provisions. A property under an approved Comprehensive Sign Plan (CSP) follows the CSP's own time, place, and manner terms instead of the base standards. Certain government, address, and similar signs are exempt from permitting and do not count toward maximum sign area (Sec. 5.12.2.H). A Sign Permit is required for non-exempt signs; confirm the exact area and height allowance for the applicable district and street classification with Planning and Zoning.
